Mindful Practice and It's Significance
Mindfulness is a personalised, individual experience. It's not just about meditating for 6 to 8 hours a day, but also about being present in the present moment with awareness. Mindfulness is thus clarified as subjective and not tangible and you will get to know about mindfulness through experience only. Mindfulness is about purposefully setting time aside to build your mindfulness muscle. Hence, mindfulness is paying attention to the present moment in a non-judgemental way and conditioning your ability to focus on 'now', which will build your 'mindfulness muscle'. The actual work therefore becomes the actual conditioning that comes by you noticing when your thoughts are either back there in the past or your thoughts are ahead of you in the future, and then grabbing hold of both of these and steering them and re-directing them to the present moment.
